KBShimmer Clown Puke and Comparison Thursday: Multicolor and Shape Glitter Toppers

Tonight's post will be brief but very picture heavy.  I received Clown Puke for review from KBShimmer and instantly knew I would love it.  But then I realized that I had three other crazy glitter bombs that needed to be compared, so why not compare all four at once!  So, first, let's take a look at Clown Puke over Elevation Hig.

*I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of KBShimmer Clown Puke for review purposes.  All other polishes in this review were purchased by me for my own use.  The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.  For more information, please see my Disclosure Policy in the tab above.*

Color: Clear base with multi-color and shaped glitter in matte, shiny, and holo.  Shapes include giant dots, flowers, hearts, stars, and probably more that I just haven't seen.
Finish: Glitter Top Coat – glitter in a clear base to be worn as a top coat.
Bottle / Brush:  Mini round 8ml bottle - KBShimmer exclusively uses the mini bottle that has the same proportions as the larger bottle, but just smaller.  This means that the cap and wand are a little shorter than the full size bottle, but not nearly as short as the normal mini bottle that's prevalent among indie makers.  It's easy to grip and has a decently long wand and thick brush making it easier to grab glitters.

Opacity: Glitter topcoat – not designed for full opacity.
Glitter Application: Medium – requires the dab method, but spreads evenly.  The larger shapes were more difficult to get out, so be warned that digging is required.

Consistency: Medium – applies easily and doesn’t flood the cuticles.
Overall Ease of Application: Medium – applies well with minimal pooling, dragging, streaking, or balding.  Spreads well without much manipulation.

Stampability: Not designed for stamping.
Dry Time: Medium – dry to the touch with minimal smudging in 3-8 minutes.

Overall Thoughts:  Clown Puke is aptly named.  I feel like this is exactly what a clown's puke would look like.  Application was easy, but the larger shapes were very difficult to get out.  Dry time was average.  Definitely not work appropriate, but would be perfect for a night out.  I really liked the feel of this polish - very whimsical.

Now let's get to the comparison!  Tonight we're looking at Lynnderella New Year's Eve Eve, KBShimmer Clown Puke, Lynnderella the Glittering Crowd, and Lynnderella Fiddle Dee Dee.  All four are densely packed with multi colored and multi shaped glitters.  Each mix, though, is very different.  As always, click on the photos to see them in larger detail.

Lynnderella New Year's Eve Eve

New Year's Eve Eve is different from the other two Lynns as it includes white and vibrant glitters as well as matte glitters that aren't found in the other two. It includes matte shapes, though, which is similar to Clown Puke.  It also has various colored hearts, much like Clown Puke.  Application was easy and the shapes were much easier to extract from the bottle than with Clown Puke.  Dry time was average.

KBShimmer Clown Puke

Unlike the rest, Clown Puke has micro bars instead of giant bars.  It also has dots, which is missing in all of the other polishes.  Also, Clown Puke is much more affordable for those not ready to spend the money on Lynns.

Lynnderella the Glittering Crowd

TGC has metallic glitters mostly in hexes but includes some various sizes of squares including GIANORMOUS squares and bars.  All three polishes have stars and moons.  Again, application was easy, but the shapes were a little more difficult to get out of the bottle.  Dry time was average.  Sadly, TGC has been discontinued, so you'll only be able to find it second hand or if they list them as limited editions.

Lynnderella Fiddle Dee Dee

Fiddle Dee Dee is a limited edition that I received from a seriously amazing friend.  You can read the full review of it and New Year's Eve Eve here.  Fiddle Dee Dee is predominantly silver, gold, red, and green, but other colors are mixed throughout.  It also contains stars and moons, but it also has hearts and butterflies.  Application, again, easy, but dry time was a bit long.  Unfortunately, the extra layer of NPB Glitter Food made my topcoat wrinkle a little.

So, there you have it!  You can purchase KBShimmers at their online store for US customers and Harlow and Co for international customers.  Follow Christy Rose and the gang on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  They're going to have a MASSIVE giveaway once they hit 10,000 FB followers, so get to liking!  :D  Also, you can purchase Lynnderellas at their store here.  Follow their fan-run FacebookTwitter, and IG pages.
