Color: Clear base with multi-color and shaped glitter in matte, shiny, and holo. Shapes include giant dots, flowers, hearts, stars, and probably more that I just haven't seen.
Finish: Glitter Top Coat – glitter in a clear base to be worn as a top coat.
Bottle / Brush: Mini round 8ml bottle - KBShimmer exclusively uses the mini bottle that has the same proportions as the larger bottle, but just smaller. This means that the cap and wand are a little shorter than the full size bottle, but not nearly as short as the normal mini bottle that's prevalent among indie makers. It's easy to grip and has a decently long wand and thick brush making it easier to grab glitters.
Opacity: Glitter topcoat – not designed for full opacity.
Glitter Application: Medium – requires the dab method, but spreads evenly. The larger shapes were more difficult to get out, so be warned that digging is required.
Consistency: Medium – applies easily and doesn’t flood the
cuticles.
Overall Ease of Application: Medium – applies well with minimal pooling,
dragging, streaking, or balding. Spreads
well without much manipulation.
Stampability: Not designed for stamping.
Dry Time: Medium – dry to the touch with minimal smudging
in 3-8 minutes.
Now let's get to the comparison! Tonight we're looking at Lynnderella New Year's Eve Eve, KBShimmer Clown Puke, Lynnderella the Glittering Crowd, and Lynnderella Fiddle Dee Dee. All four are densely packed with multi colored and multi shaped glitters. Each mix, though, is very different. As always, click on the photos to see them in larger detail.
Lynnderella New Year's Eve Eve
New Year's Eve Eve is different from the other two Lynns as it includes white and vibrant glitters as well as matte glitters that aren't found in the other two. It includes matte shapes, though, which is similar to Clown Puke. It also has various colored hearts, much like Clown Puke. Application was easy and the shapes were much easier to extract from the bottle than with Clown Puke. Dry time was average.
KBShimmer Clown Puke
Unlike the rest, Clown Puke has micro bars instead of giant bars. It also has dots, which is missing in all of the other polishes. Also, Clown Puke is much more affordable for those not ready to spend the money on Lynns.
Lynnderella the Glittering Crowd
TGC has metallic glitters mostly in hexes but includes some various sizes of squares including GIANORMOUS squares and bars. All three polishes have stars and moons. Again, application was easy, but the shapes were a little more difficult to get out of the bottle. Dry time was average. Sadly, TGC has been discontinued, so you'll only be able to find it second hand or if they list them as limited editions.
Lynnderella Fiddle Dee Dee
Fiddle Dee Dee is a limited edition that I received from a seriously amazing friend. You can read the full review of it and New Year's Eve Eve here. Fiddle Dee Dee is predominantly silver, gold, red, and green, but other colors are mixed throughout. It also contains stars and moons, but it also has hearts and butterflies. Application, again, easy, but dry time was a bit long. Unfortunately, the extra layer of NPB Glitter Food made my topcoat wrinkle a little.
