Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer February Releases Part 1

And we've got another Blue-Eyed Girl lacquer release coming up!  This time, I'll be releasing the Crooked Hearts Collection as well as a new siren in the numbered siren LE series, Siren Sweetheart.  The sale will be 2.9.2015 at 3:30 pm est, so make sure you get there early to grab what you want!  All photos for this post are taken indoors under artificial daylight lamps.  Also, I'm wearing cuties right now while I wait for my nails to grow out.  [If you don't know what cuties are, they are intentionally short nails that aren't really nubs because they're still shaped nicely and aren't the product of a break.]  Ok, let's take a look!

Together Dead and Lonely

TDAL is a black jelly loaded with silver and red holographic microglitters.  It's a pretty opaque polish, but you can still see the holo glitters fairly well.  The glitters came out of the bottle easily and spread well without the need to use the dab method.  I used two coats for full opacity and only needed one coat of Seche Vite to even out the glitters.  Dry time was average.

Believin' Won't Fly

BWF is a blackened navy creme with a very strong blue flash.  Application was easy and didn't require any cleanup.  I only needed two coats for full opacity, and I used one coat of Seche Vite to create a glossy finish.

Sick Inside Wondering

SIW is a medium-bright green creme with strong blue shimmer.  It dries to a satiny finish, so I have shown you photos both with and without topcoat.  I got to full opacity in two coats, but I used three for my photos to ensure I didn't have any bald spots.  Since it's a matte, it's definitely one that you need to be patient with between coats so that you don't drag over the bits that aren't quite dry.  The consistency made application fairly easy, so I didn't have any issue with cleanup.

As I mentioned above, the Crooked Hearts Collection will be available at the BEGL shop starting 2.9.2015 at 3:30 pm est.  I'll have the rest of the collection plus the new Siren up on Friday, so make sure you check back then.  The 6 polish Crooked Hearts Collection comes in both full size (13ml) and mini size (10ml) bottles.  The full sized set will cost $58 plus shipping with the mini set at $32 plus shipping.  The shifter and the platinum flakie will be $12 (full) or $6 (mini), and the rest will be $8.50 (full) or $5 (mini).  Siren Sweetheart will only be available in full size and will cost $8.50.  Which are you the most excited about?

And now we've come to the last mani for this week's Enchanted Polish theme.  I still have a million more EP's to show you guys, but I'll hold off on those for a little while.  Today, I've got some lovely pastels that I was honestly afraid wouldn't work right with my skin tone.  I was, however, pleasantly surprised to find that both of these yellows worked well for me, and I loved wearing them!  Let's take a look at Enchanted Polish Serendipity with accents of Whimsical Ideas by Pam Hatched.

Serendipity is a yellow linear holographic with a strong red flash.  The holographic flame isn't quite as bright as most of the EPs I own, but it's hard to get a strong rainbow when you have a delicate pastel base.  Application was easy without pooling and didn't require much cleanup.  I used three coats for full opacity.  Dry time was average with one coat of KBShimmer's Clearly on Top.

Hatched is a lovely yellow crelly based polish with pink, fuchsia, and lavender hexes as well as blue/green iridescent hexes and shreds.  Application was amazingly easy, and there wasn't any pooling or need for cleanup.  I wore three coats without undies because I wanted to get that lovely depth you get when you wear glitter crellies.  Dry time was average with one coat of KBShimmer's Clearly on Top.  I only needed one coat of topcoat because the glitters were very tame on their own.

Both of these are older polishes and are a bit harder to find, but they do pop up on blog sales every once in a while!  Just keep your eyes peeled!

Lynnderella Nosegay

The first time I saw Lynnderella's Nosegay, I just *knew* I needed it.  Seeing photos of this pretty lady online was all fine and dandy, but seeing her in person just blew me away.  There's just so much going on here!  Let's take a look!  Please keep in mind that I took these photos a while ago, so the lighting is different (this was actually taken in the car on the way home from Orlando a few years ago!), and my skin care and nail regimen are both very different.

Nosegay is a lovely lavender base with medium and small metallic purple hexes and squares.  It's got a gorgeous blue shimmer as well as blue-purple iridescent glitters, both of which are difficult to see in my photos.

Here, I've worn it alone with three coats.  I am absolutely in love with this crelly base.  I wish that Lynn did more of them because Nosegay just shows how well she does them!  Dry time was quick with one coat of quick dry topcoat.

I did this mani while I was on vacation, and it was super easy to do.  The glitters were easy to get out, and they spread well across my nail.  Unlike a lot of the Lynn glitters, it wasn't thick at all.  It's got a perfect crelly base that shows the glitters nicely through the other layers.

Hello Wishes of a Blue Eyed Girl fans!! Today, I have a great combination to show you, but first let me talk a little about this blogger I am guest writing about. Julie has been one of my first nail polish friends. I actually met her when I won one of her very first giveaways on Instagram for her polish line. That was around 2 years ago!! I have gotten to know Julie pretty well and I absolutely adore her!! She works so hard in everything she does. Her real life job, her polish line, her blog, her friends. EVERYTHING! I really think Julie rocks! Anyway, thank you Julie for this opportunity and I am sure you will all be seeing me again soon!!

For this design, I wanted to do something bright and fun for the summer. I was recently given the Femme Fatale and the Northern Star as giveaway prizes and I thought they made a great combination.

The Northern Star polish is a bright pink linear holographic polish that is just stunning in the sun. The Femme Fatale polish is a lavender crelly with lots of pink, purple and black glitters in a variety of sizes.

The crelly was really nice to apply. Sometimes you get a heavily loaded glitter that just clumps together and doesn't want to apply the glitter nicely. This had a nice even glitter application. A few shakes of the bottle was all I needed to mix it up. This also happens to by my first Femme Fatale polish. I am really impressed and would not mind trying more in the future.

It's time for the next installment of the Old Swatch Roundup!  I've got a MILLION photos of gorgeous polishes that need to be reviewed, but I've taken so long to actually do anything with these photos that I don't remember anything about the actual polish!  D'oh!  My solution?  I'll just toss a bunch of older swatches into one post a month without an actual review!  By the way, I've been keeping notes on application for all of the recent swatches I've done to ensure that I don't forget when it's time for the review.  I can't let my laziness deter from proper reviews!  Ok, let's take a look!
